DEADLINES APPROACHING: In the University Level of participation, college/university-aged students from around the world will participate at the Destination ImagiNation Global Finals Tournament, to be held at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tenn., May 23-27, 2012.
There's an online form to register your team(s) for Globals at
globalfinals.org under quicklinks. LMK if you have any problems with this process. A $500.00 deposit is required by
Fri 4-May-2012 to hold your team's reservation at Global Finals 2012. The website (
https://www.diatlas.org/events/) will assist you in making this payment and completing the registration process.
Also- any teams out there that are planning to attend Globals...can you please email me with your name and #,which challenge you will be doing, and whether you have received confirmation of your GF attendance?
University DI teams! Here's your chance to be part of the inauguration of a new, exciting Global Finals 2012 feature- the DITV StuDIo.
DI is undertaking to provide a “live” TV studio this year to be run partly by UL participants. We'd like the staffing to include 4 UL team members-- two would work with the volunteers at the DITV studio and two would be working as roving reporters with specific assignments.
DITV will run from 11 am until 3 pm Wednesday through Saturday. Roving reporters can have a flex schedule.
To be considered, you need to apply for these positions (in the DITV studio or as roving reporters). We will select from the applications recieved. The application should reveal why you're interested and what experience you might bring to the role.
I would suggest that you put your responses together quickly. Time is very short for these special slots to be filled.

DITV StuDIo Application:
Send a one page application containing the following (Format to provide the info is up to you! For those of you that have applied for DISC Scholarships, you know what we mean...it can be web, ppt, video, whatever):
- Name, address, email, phone
- Team and Team Challenge you are participating on
- 1 to 2 paragraphs on why you should be chosen.
- Provide an interview question you would ask each of the following guests:
*A parent
*A Team
*An Official
*3M
*Key Note speakers
*DI staff
